Some of the early 1940's parachute harnesses used "Bayonet" type hardware that was later changed to the more commonly known "Parachute Snap" of which a form of it is still in use today. |

The seat pack was used extensively by the US Navy and Army Air Force fighter pilots. There were several parachute companies during WW-II that manufactured for the war effort, such as Automotive Fibers, Inc., American Lady Corset Co., Fashion Frocks, Reliance, Irvin, Switlik, and others.
